Theodore S. Wolfson, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in sports medicine and shoulder surgery. He is trained and experienced in advanced arthroscopy, complex reconstruction, and cartilage restoration procedures of the knee, hip, and shoulder. Dr. Wolfson joined OrthoConnecticut following completing his Sports Medicine fellowship at Rush University in Chicago. His background includes orthopedic surgery training at New York University Langone Orthopedic Hospital (Hospital for Joint Diseases), a medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University.

Dr. Wolfson provided medical coverage for several professional sports teams including NBA Chicago Bulls, MLB Chicago White Sox, MLS Chicago Fire. He has wide medical coverage experience from high schools and colleges to the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, New York City Marathon, Ironman U.S. Championship, Triathlons, Cycling Races, and the National Women’s Hockey League’s Metropolitan Riveters.

Dr. Wolfson is a member of AJ. Robert Gladden Orthopaedic Society, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Association of Orthopaedic Medicine.
