About Dr. Wood

Dr. Jennifer Wood is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at OrthoConnecticut, specializing in robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement, including anterior hip replacement, posterior hip replacement, and partial knee replacement. She combines advanced technology with a thoughtful, personalized approach to help patients regain mobility and return to the activities they love.

As both a surgeon and a mother of two young children, Dr. Wood understands how important movement is to maintaining independence, balance, and quality of life. She has a lifelong love of physical activity — from playing basketball, softball, and rugby in highschool and college to staying active with her family — which deepens her appreciation for the role that strength and motion play in overall well-being.

Through her philosophy of “Recovery Simplified,” Dr. Wood focuses on empowering each patient with clear guidance, compassionate care, and precise surgical results. She performs robotic hip and knee surgery to achieve optimal implant alignment, faster recovery, and renewed confidence in movement. Based in Danbury, Connecticut, Dr. Wood also sees patients at OrthoConnecticut’s Southbury location, serving individuals across Connecticut, southeastern New York, and southeastern Massachusetts — helping each person step confidently into their next chapter of motion and health.
