Brandon S. Shulman, M.D. is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with sub-specialty training in surgery of the hand and upper extremity. Following undergraduate studies at Columbia University and medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Langone Medical Center (Hospital for Joint Diseases). He then went on to complete his fellowship at Harvard University | Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston where he worked alongside world-renowned faculty and leaders in the field. Dr. Shulman is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH).
Dr. Shulman has a special interest and expertise in wide awake hand surgery, minimally invasive arthroscopic and endoscopic procedures of the wrist and shoulder, management of upper extremity arthritis, as well as treatment of traumatic injuries throughout the body. He specializes in the treatment of upper extremity injuries in athletes and musicians and treats adults and children.
Dr. Shulman is also an avid musician and studied bassoon performance at the Juilliard School. His diverse interests include playing guitar and piano, skiing, grilling, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
