More About Sports Medicine Specialist, Michael Marchetti, D.O.
Dr. Michael Marchetti, DO is a fellowship trained primary care sports medicine physician. He completed his Family Medicine residency here in Connecticut and then a fellowship at University of South Carolina where he took care of all the Division 1 athletes including the 2017 Women’s Basketball National Champion Gamecocks. While there he was also responsible for caring for the athletes of South Carolina State University, the single-A affiliate Columbia Fireflies and the Columbia City Ballet. He has spent the last three years as the assistant team physician for Quinnipiac University.
Dr. Marchetti specializes in the non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. He is trained in diagnostic ultrasound evaluation, orthobiologics and sports related concussions. He is committed to improving pain, quality of life and safe return to sports and activities without the use of invasive techniques. Dr. Marchetti has experience treating young children, high school and collegiate athletes all the way to weekend warriors and geriatric patients.
Dr. Marchetti resides in Connecticut with his wife and 3 children who are also involved in competitive sports. So, when he is not in the office or covering sporting events he will be watching and cheering his three children.
