Jody Finnegan is originally from Madison, Wisconsin. She attended Boston University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training. After her undergraduate studies, Jody worked as an Athletic Trainer in Denver, Colorado prior to going to graduate school. She obtained her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois.

After graduate school, Jody was accepted into the competitive Norwalk Hospital/Yale Physician Assistant Surgical Residency. At completion of the residency, Jody was awarded the Yoichi Katsube Memorial Award recognizing her for exemplifying diligence, integrity, and surgical ability. After residency, Jody worked as a surgical Physician Assistant at Norwalk Hospital in both the orthopaedic and intensive care/critical care settings. During her time at Norwalk Hospital, she was appointed Clinical Educator for the surgical residency including teaching and coordinating academic lectures and surgical skill training sessions. In June 2013, Jody accepted a job with OrthoConnecticut. She looks forward to continuing her career with the OrthoConnecticut community.
